Using Health Insurance:

If you plan to use your health insurance to pay for counseling, the cost for counseling sessions is determined by your insurance company. What you will pay also depends on your specific insurance plan and whether or not you are required to pay copays, co-insurance, and what is covered before or after your deductible is met.

 

To find out how much you will be responsible to pay per session, contact your insurance payer's member services and ask what your out-of-pocket cost will be for an "intake session" ("CPT" or medical code 90791), "45 minute psychotherapy session" ("CPT" or medical code 90834), and/or "55 minute psychotherapy session" ("CPT" or medical code 90837). If you are interested in the cost of couples or family counseling, ask about your cost for the "CPT" or medical codes, 90846 and 90847.  Be prepared to provide your member number, the name of your provider, and the address for Silver Lake Counseling, LLC: 4301 Benjamin St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55421.

Sliding Fee Scale:

A sliding fee scale is offered for those who wish to pay for counseling services out-of-pocket and not use health insurance. This fee scale ranges from $65-$135 for a 45-50 minute counseling session. Please contact us for details.
